20/100 Heads, original mixed media piece, oil bar and oil paint
This piece is 20/100 from my 100 Heads project. All of these pieces this far have been in oil paint, but with 19 and 20 I wanted to have a play with the oil bars. These are very fat sticks, like a wide oil pastel. It’s difficult to make a precise mark, so it’s all about blending, playing, and pushing through until you have something that feels right. With this piece, I chose to go in afterwards and blend some marks with the brush and add subtle passages of oil paint.
I've drawn and painted this in oil bars and oil paint on primed paper, Arches Oil paper, this comes UNFRAMED. It will require framing to hang. If you wish to talk about framing options, do drop me an email.
