The Journey Home, original oil painting
An oil painting inspired by a journey home one Christmas. The trains were packed with standing room only. Laden with bags, I stood by this young family and was captivated by the bond between mother and child in this tender moment. I was delighted that they agreed I could paint them, from a reference photo I took.
The painting is in oils on twice-primed watercolour paper. It comes with a double mount but will require framing. I have it photographed with a black laquer wooden frame, which I’d be happy to order for you if you’d like. The Framed photos are for context only.
